Job Description
Company Overview Commercial Lightning Protection (CLP) has been protecting people, buildings and critical infrastructure from the dangers of lightning strikes since 2009. We are a growing commercial construction company providing lightning protection services throughout the Southeast, with operations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Recruiter to join our dynamic team to help attract, hire and retain talented employees across our growing operations. This position will focus heavily on recruiting Installation Technicians, Crew Leaders and other skilled-trade employees while also supporting project management, design, estimating, sales, accounting and administrative hiring. The Recruiter will manage the process from candidate sourcing through accepted offer and pre-employment coordination. This role requires travel by car or air to CLP locations to host hiring events, develop local recruiting partnerships and conduct new-hire orientations. Responsibilities Partner with HR, Operations and hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs. Create and post accurate job advertisements. Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, social media and direct outreach. Review applications and conduct phone screenings. Clearly communicate job expectations, including early schedules, outdoor work, travel, overnight assignments and working at heights. Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers. Collect interview feedback and help move hiring decisions forward. Prepare and extend offers in coordination with HR. Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, motor vehicle record reviews and other pre-employment requirements. Maintain accurate applicant records, interview feedback and candidate disposition reasons. Develop relationships with trade schools, workforce programs, veteran organizations and community partners. Support career fairs, hiring events and branch-specific recruiting campaigns. Maintain qualified candidate pipelines for CLP's recurring field positions. Track recruiting metrics, including time to fill, candidate source, offer acceptance, new-hire show rate and 90-day retention. Identify recruiting challenges and recommend improvements to CLP's sourcing and selection processes. Ensure recruiting practices remain consistent, professional and compliant. Assist with other HR projects as needed. Experience One year of recruiting, staffing or talent acquisition experience preferred but not required, willing to train. Experience managing multiple open positions and candidates simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to source candidates proactively preferred. Strong phone, written and in-person communication skills. Excellent organization, follow-through and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Experience using applicant tracking systems, job boards and Microsoft Office.
