FLSA:
Non-Exempt Grade 64 ($3,228
  • $4,355); plus local supplement The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant's years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position.
Experience outside of this system is not recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools' pay scale. Qualifications and Requirements High School diploma or GED Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office General office and clerical duties Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment Must have a positive attitude, ability to work with others, and a customer-service focus Respond to questions as they relate to policies and procedures and ensure necessary follow-up Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects Duties Assist with the on-line application and hiring process via an on-line platform (PowerSchool OnBoarding) Assist administrators in the hiring process Assist with special projects as needed (retirement, end-of-year celebrations, etc.) Prepare HR reports as mandated by the NC Department of Public Instruction Enter employee data into the personnel database (LINQ) Create and distribute certified vacancy announcements Assist in maintaining personnel files for employees; meeting local, state and federal requirements, including files for non-continuing employees Maintain required HR forms for state and local use Ability to verify documents for accuracy and completeness Working knowledge of modern office practices and technologies (Microsoft Office and Google Suite) Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions Appropriate interpersonal skills in dealing with clients, co-workers, and supervisors High level of integrity and commitment to accuracy and honesty Willingness to learn additional skills as a continuous process Understanding of confidential information Responsible for ensuring proper purchasing guidelines from state, local, and federal funds are followed Maintain proper documentation for purchase orders Other duties as assigned
