A Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support in the human resources department of a company or organization. Manages employee records, advertises job postings, and organizes materials required from job applicants.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Recruiting Assistant to support our recruiting team in placing qualified candidates with our light industrial clients. The Recruiting Assistant will play a vital role in sourcing, screening, onboarding, and maintaining candidate relationships, while ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Recruiters with sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and internal databases. Conduct initial phone screens to pre-qualify applicants based on client requirements. Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and recruiters/clients. Support the onboarding process, including I-9 completion, E-Verify, background checks, and drug testing. Maintain accurate and updated candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Post and update job advertisements on multiple platforms. Assist with employee orientations, safety training, and distribution of onboarding materials. Track candidate availability and assign qualified workers to client job orders in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service to candidates by answering questions and keeping them informed throughout the hiring process. Assist in compliance with labor laws, company policies, and client requirements. Support recruiters and account managers with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in recruiting, HR, staffing, or administrative support (preferred, not required). Knowledge of light industrial roles (warehouse, production, assembly, forklift, etc.) is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Work Environment:
Office setting with occasional visits to client sites and warehouse facilities. Fast-paced, high-volume staffing operations supporting multiple clients.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time, Monday-Friday (occasional overtime as needed). Competitive hourly pay + performance incentives. Benefits package may include health, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401(k).
