Job Description

LOCATION
Newmarket, NH
POSITION OVERVIEW
The HR Associate is responsible for assisting the HR Manager with the administration of Human Resources, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, employee relations, and employee termination while ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal laws and regulations. The HR Associate will also work with the Director of Corporate Contracts to assist with visa processing and other employee-related contractual compliance matters.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Updates HR policies and procedures along with the Employee Handbook. Assist supervisors and managers with the identification, vetting, and hiring of prospective employees. Assist with new hire onboarding and terminations. Ensure that the organization is compliant with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Assist with maintaining the company's employee Career Progression Program. Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Monitor employee performance evaluations. Assist with the annual benefit open enrollment process. Monitor employee eligibility for benefit plans. Identify training needs and develop new hire and annual training programs. Assist with processing and submitting required state and federal reporting.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Capability to pass a Company background investigation. Strong Communication skills with management, Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Proficiency in multiple software applications, i.e. Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, in support of document processing and security. Demonstrated management skills to be able to develop specific goals and organize, plan, prioritize and accomplish work. Excellent Judgment and Decision Making - Be able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate one. Obtain and see to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work. Must be located within commuting distance of Newmarket, NH
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BA/BS in Human Resource Management or 1-2 years of human resource experience. SHRM-CP or SCP certification or; HRCI certification PHR or
SPHR. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the HR Manager spends a lot of time sitting and is also required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, speak and hear. HR Associates must be prepared for interruptions as they manage several projects simultaneously. HR Associates may deal with stressful situations. The HR Associate must also be able to lift or move office products and supplies up to 30 pounds.
