Job Description

Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks Human Resources Generalist Optima Dermatology is recruiting a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Practice Support Center, based in Portsmouth, NH.
Position Details:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the organization through a period of growth, operational improvement, and cultural evolution. This role is responsible for coordinating onboarding for clinical and non-clinical employees, maintaining HR documentation, and ensuring seamless day-to-day HR operations. This position is designed for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in execution, coordination, and continuous improvement, and who is interested in growing their scope and ownership over time through mentorship and partnership with senior HR leadership.
Responsibilities:
Employee Lifecycle Administration & Coordination Own and coordinate the employee lifecycle from offer acceptance through exit, ensuring a consistent, well-organized experience for employees and managers. Coordinate onboarding logistics and transitions from pre-hire through Day 1 and early tenure. Administer offboarding processes, including exit interviews, documentation, and system updates. Maintain accurate employee lifecycle records and data in Paylocity, partnering with Payroll & Benefits to ensure data integrity. Performance Management & Engagement Programs In partnership with HR leadership, coordinate and administer performance management cycles, including timelines, communications, system setup, and follow-through. Support employee engagement initiatives such as surveys (eNPS), recognition programs, and culture-building efforts. Partner with HR leadership to translate engagement insights into follow-up actions and improvements. HR Operations & Process Improvement Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and breakdowns in HR processes and participate in process improvement efforts. Maintain HR SOPs, templates, and workflows. Support cross-functional HR initiatives and special projects as needed. Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Qualifications:
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Multiple years of human resource experience preferred. Prior experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Operations role with exposure to employee lifecycle administration. Experience coordinating onboarding, performance cycles, or engagement initiatives. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and comfort working in HR systems (Paylocity or similar preferred). Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with employees, managers, and senior HR leaders. Interest in professional growth and developing broader HR capability over time.
