$18.37/hr (W2 No Benefits) Job Summary We are seeking detail-oriented and dependable Scanning Clerks to join the Middlesex County Board of Social Services. Under close supervision, the Scanning Clerk will perform routine clerical duties involving the preparation, scanning, and indexing of Human Service case files. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with computer systems and office equipment while ensuring documents are processed accurately and efficiently according to established procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare Human Service case files for scanning and electronic storage. Scan and accurately index documents using established operating procedures. Ensure all scanned documents are complete, accurate, and properly categorized. Perform routine data entry and clerical tasks. Operate scanners, computers, and other standard office equipment. Maintain document organization and confidentiality. Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assigned work. Meet productivity and accuracy standards within required timeframes. Assist with other clerical and administrative duties as assigned. Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred experience with document scanning and indexing. Proficiency using Windows-based PCs. Experience operating scanners and standard office equipment. Strong typing and data entry skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within established deadlines. Ability to learn and retain new information quickly. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Pay:
$17.37•$18.37 per hour
