Description Job Title - Human Resources Officer - Part Time 3 Days a week
Job Duties:
The Human Resources Office r will report to the Executive Director and will complete but is not limited to the following duties:
Job Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of HR initiatives, processes, practices, and systems, Counseling on all related policies and procedures, Manage all aspects of recruitment by creating job descriptions, posting and oversight of the hiring, applicant tracking, interviewing and compliance of the process, Creating and implement effective onboarding plans, utilizing the electronic process in the current HRIS system, Developing training plans, facilitating training, and managing the LMS portal, Coaching and developing performance management processes, Management of disciplinary and grievance issues in conjunction with the administration. Auditing, maintain, managing all aspects of employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements, Ensuring all employment practices and working conditions and/or environment are maintained to ensure legal compliance, Proven experience as HR officer, administrator, or other HR related position as a trusted advisor on guidance and leading HR Practices, Working Knowledge of oversight of all HR functions (payroll, benefits, recruitment, training, development, compliance, systems, vendors, etc.) Understanding and managing of practices related to labor laws and disciplinary procedures, Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus Working knowledge of budgeting, coding, surveys, tracking, data management, systems, reporting, manipulating data, etc. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude Working ability to maintain strong ethics and reliability. Maintaining and practicing a high level of confidentiality as it relates to all aspects of human resources, employee relations, compliance, and information, Supporting the philosophy and vision of The Newgrange School, Performing related duties as assigned.
Requirements Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Administration, or related field; Master's Degree and additional training highly preferred, Eight or more years of human resources experience in a school or related environment, HR Credentials (SHRM or
HRCI PHR
Certification highly desired) Current New Jersey State Board Certification preferred. NJDOE Fingerprints required.
