Role:
York Prep School is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to provide essential operational and administrative support across the employee lifecycle. In this role, you will sit at the heart of the school's people operations, supporting recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, payroll coordination, and employee relations within a high‑performance educational environment. You will partner closely with school leaders, the Finance team, and regional HR colleagues to ensure HR processes are consistent, compliant, and aligned with both safeguarding standards and school culture. This is a hands-on role where you will manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate data, improve processes, and contribute to a professional, supportive experience for faculty and staff. You will report to the Accounting and Finance Director and play a visible role in the daily life of the school community.
Who We Are Looking For:
You are a detail-oriented, dependable HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced setting and takes ownership of seeing tasks through to completion. You bring 2-3 years' experience in HR administration or generalist work, with confidence across recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, and people processes. You communicate with clarity and empathy, handle sensitive information with discretion, and are comfortable working with HR systems and data. You value collaboration, continuous improvement, and safeguarding, and you are motivated by contributing to a school community where people and purpose matter. A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is required; HR certifications are an advantage. How to
