Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. In this vital role, you will support a wide range of human resources functions, ensuring smooth operations across talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS management. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help foster a positive workplace environment, streamline HR processes, and contribute to strategic workforce planning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your HR expertise while making a meaningful impact on our organization's success. Duties Assist with talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing candidates through various channels and coordinating interview schedules using applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as iCIMS or Workday Support onboarding processes by preparing new hire documentation, conducting employee orientation sessions, and ensuring compliance with employment laws like FMLA and NYS Laws Maintain accurate employee records through data entry in HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors and Paylocity Contribute to employee evaluation and performance management initiatives by gathering feedback and assisting with performance review documentation Support benefits administration activities including enrollment, updates, and inquiries related to health insurance, workers' compensation, and other employee benefits programs Facilitate communication between employees and management on HR policies, conflict resolution, and organizational changes using strong interpersonal skills Assist with HR projects such as affirmative action planning, succession planning, organization design, and change management initiatives to enhance workforce effectiveness Requirements 10 plus years proven experience in human resources management or administrative roles within HR environments Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Familiarity with human capital management systems like Workday, Paychex, ADP, or Ceridian; knowledge of HRIS platforms such as PeopleSoft or Kronos is highly desirable Strong understanding of employment & labor law compliance including FMLA, standards, and workers' compensation procedures Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting Experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training & development, and performance management processes Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as Lever, Taleo, Paylocity or Oracle HCM for data collection and reporting purposes Organizational skills for managing multiple priorities related to benefits administration, data entry, social media management for employer branding efforts, and administrative support Join us as a Human Resources Assistant where your enthusiasm for people combined with your technical expertise will help shape a thriving workplace.
