Job Description

Human Resources Assistant Starbridge | Organizational and Workforce Development / Human Resources Starbridge is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support day to day HR operations, onboarding, and employee services. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting hiring and onboarding processes, and ensuring a positive and responsive experience for staff. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail oriented, and interested in growing within Human Resources. Responsibilities Onboarding and Employee Support Create, maintain, and update employee personnel files Maintain I 9 documentation and required employee records Perform data entry into ADP, RELIAS, and other HR systems Support pre employment processes including background checks Assist with onboarding and conduct agency orientation Process employment changes including hires, status updates, and separations Administrative Support Respond to employment inquiries and provide timely updates to departments Serve as a resource for HR systems including ADP and RELIAS Assist with audits and HR projects as needed Support process improvements and provide solution focused feedback Provide first level support to employees and escalate as needed Additional Responsibilities Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Follow all agency policies, procedures, and standards of conduct Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required One year of experience in a Human Resources role required or equivalent combination of education and experience Skills Strong communication, organization, and follow up skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities Strong time management and attention to detail Ability to take initiative and solve problems Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Knowledge of HR laws and regulations preferred Bilingual Spanish or fluency in American Sign Language preferred Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word Experience with Zoom or Microsoft Teams Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities This position is based in a professional office setting.
