reviews $60,000•$75,000 a year•Full-time Vaughn Industries currently has an opening for a Human Resource Administrator. This is a full time in office opportunity in our Carey, Ohio office. The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for managing all employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and any other benefits. This role manages the self-insured workers' compensation program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations while providing support to employees and the HR team. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the HRIS system and managing integrations with external vendors, administering leave of absence and time off policies, and supporting the consistent application of company policies, including terminations. This position also provides customer service to employees and assists in communicating benefit and policy information to groups of employees and managers.

Duties:

Research, design, and implement cost-effective employee benefits programs Negotiate with vendors and manage relationships with providers, employees, and third-party administrators Oversee daily benefits administration, including enrollments, claims, leave of absence (FMLA), workers' compensation, and unemployment claims Ensure compliance with regulations and handle all required reporting and documentation Maintain benefits records, payroll data, and HRIS systems; ensure data accuracy and reporting functionality Process billing, claims, and plan changes while monitoring costs and efficiency Develop and document procedures to improve operations Interpret and apply company policies, exercising independent judgment Handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and professionalism Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field preferred, or equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered Three to five years of experience in benefits and/or HR administration preferred Vaughn Industries is a family owned construction company headquartered in Carey, Ohio that has been in business for 60 years.
