Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This vital role involves managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting various HR functions to foster a productive and compliant workplace environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong understanding of human resources management systems and payroll processing procedures. Your contributions will directly impact employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency by delivering accurate payroll services and supporting HR initiatives. Responsibilities Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding efforts. Administer timekeeping, PTO tracking, and attendance records. Serve as a primary contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, HR policies, and company procedures. Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements. Assist with HR reporting, employee communications, training initiatives, and special projects. Help develop professional growth opportunities for administrative staff. Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll data through the company's PEO/payroll platform. Process payroll changes, deductions, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and other adjustments. Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries. Support payroll reporting and related audits. Maintain employee records and HRIS data. Administer employee benefits, enrollments, and life event changes. Assist with employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and disciplinary processes. Coordinate employee status changes, terminations, and related documentation. Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of HR and payroll experience. Working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, timekeeping, and employment law. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Proficient in Microsoft Office, HRIS/payroll systems, and database management. Experience with GMS, Real Green, or similar systems preferred. PHR, SHRM-CP, CPP, FPC, or related certification is a plus.
