Job Description

Position Summary:
The HR Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily human resources operations within the facility. This position serves as the first point of contact for incoming office traffic and provides administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth workforce operations. The HR Assistant reports to the Human Resources Manager and works closely with the Production Plant Superintendent and other departments to maintain effective communication, accurate staffing, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming traffic to the main office. Assist employees with HR-related paperwork Responsible for managing day-to-day interactions with a unionized workforce and ensuring all workplace practices comply with the collective bargaining agreement. Maintain regular communication with the Production Plant Superintendent regarding staffing, scheduling, and workforce updates. Provide general HR support and respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and processes. Assist the HR Manager with various projects
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. 1-2 years of administrative/HR support experience • Bilingual Spanish/English Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and HR practices is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Detail-oriented with strong data entry and record-keeping skills Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Analytical and mathematical skills with Excel experience to track, analyze, and report data for informed decision-making.

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
