Part-Time Department:

Non-Exempt Schedule:
Part-Time, up to 24 hours per week Job Summary The Human Resources Assistant provides part-time administrative support to the HR department, with a focus on onboarding, employment screening, personnel file maintenance, and confidential recordkeeping. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling sensitive employee information. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare new hire orientation binders and onboarding materials.
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork, offer letters, and new hire documentation.
  • Complete reference checks and monitor pre-employment background checks.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files for new hires and current employees.
  • Audit personnel files and follow up on missing documentation as directed.
  • Organize, file, scan, and maintain HR records, forms, certifications, and acknowledgments.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate interview logistics as directed.
  • Provide general clerical, data entry, copying, packet preparation, and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous office, administrative, or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience handling confidential records preferred.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team. Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based environment with frequent interaction with employees, applicants, and managers.
  • Regular handling of confidential personnel records and information.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry files, boxes, and office materials up to 20 pounds.
