Description
Onboarding and Safety Coordinator
Position Summary The Onboarding and Safety Coordinator supports the Safety Department by maintaining driver and fleet records, assisting with driver onboarding, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance-related documentation is accurate and up to date. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with drivers, customers, and internal team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain accurate driver, vehicle, and safety records across various online platforms and company systems.
Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from drivers, customers, and internal personnel.
Conduct employment verifications and assist with the onboarding process for new drivers.
Ensure all required onboarding documentation is collected, reviewed, and properly filed.
Support compliance and safety initiatives by monitoring records and identifying discrepancies.
Assist with data entry, reporting, and document management related to driver qualifications and fleet safety.
Collaborate with the Safety Director and other team members on departmental projects and objectives.
Participate as an active member of the Safety Department to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related coursework preferred.
Previous administrative, onboarding, human resources, transportation, or safety experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and Google Workspace applications.
Skills and Abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and data management.
Ability to develop, maintain, and work with spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical and Work Requirements The employee must be able to: Perform all job functions accurately and efficiently.
Sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
Work effectively under pressure, with interruptions and changing priorities.
Follow established procedures and detailed instructions.
Operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and other office technology.
Communicate in a calm, courteous, and professional manner in person, by phone, and through email, even during stressful situations.
