Job Description
Accounting and HR Administrator We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented person to join our administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where accuracy, discretion, and exceptional organizational skills are valued. The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day financial operations while providing administrative support to senior management. Primary Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and on schedule. Coordinate new employee onboarding and assist with HR administration and personnel records. Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations. Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with the monthly financial close. Process payroll and tax filings, including federal, state, and local reporting requirements. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies. Prepare reports and schedules requested by management or auditors. Maintain confidential employee and financial information. Provide administrative and accounting support to the General Manager, Controller, and other senior staff. Assist with special projects and perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Strong understanding of payroll processing, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end procedures. Experience with payroll tax reporting and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
