Job Summary The HR Associate supports day-to-day Human Resources operations and independently coordinates assigned employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding, employee records, HRIS transactions, benefits and payroll support, employee communications, and HR projects. This role serves as a resource for routine employee and manager questions, resolves standard issues within established policies and procedures, and escalates complex or sensitive matters as appropriate. Success requires sound judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, technology aptitude, and a responsive, service-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Serves as a point of contact for routine employee and manager questions, provides guidance based on established policies and procedures, resolves standard issues, and escalates complex or sensitive matters as appropriate. Coordinates assigned onboarding and offboarding processes from initiation through completion, including employee communications, new hire documentation, required training, system access coordination, and separation paperwork. Processes and maintains employee lifecycle transactions and records in the HRIS and electronic personnel files, including new hires, status changes, compensation changes, and terminations, in accordance with company procedures and confidentiality requirements. Supports benefits, payroll, and timekeeping administration by processing routine transactions, responding to standard employee questions, and helping resolve discrepancies with internal partners and vendors. Monitors compliance-related requirements, including employment forms, policy acknowledgments, required training, records retention, and other HR documentation; prepares status reports and escalates overdue or higher-risk items. Monitors shared HR inboxes, manages assigned requests through resolution, documents actions taken, and ensures employees receive accurate and timely responses. Drafts and distributes routine HR communications, notices, reminders, and intranet updates using clear, accurate, and employee-focused language. Prepares recurring HR reports and tracking materials, reviews information for accuracy, identifies trends or exceptions, and supports follow-up actions. Coordinates employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, surveys, meetings, trainings, and HR-related events, including communications, logistics, tracking, and follow-up. Independently manages assigned HR projects or process-improvement activities within established scope, timelines, and guidance. Maintains current working knowledge of company policies, HR procedures, and applicable employment requirements relevant to assigned responsibilities. Maintains confidentiality of employee information and handles sensitive documents and conversations with discretion and professionalism. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 2-4 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required, including experience with employee records, onboarding, HRIS transactions, benefits or payroll support, and employee inquiries. Working knowledge of fundamental HR practices, employee lifecycle processes, records requirements, and confidentiality standards. Ability to interpret and consistently apply established company policies and HR procedures, resolve routine issues, and recognize when escalation is appropriate. Ability to handle confidential employee information with sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion. Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and commitment to data accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain routine HR processes clearly to employees and managers. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, with the ability to learn and effectively use HRIS, payroll, benefits, electronic filing, reporting, and other workplace systems. Ability to prepare and review reports, audit records, identify discrepancies, and coordinate timely corrections. Ability to independently manage assigned processes and projects, prioritize multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively with employees, managers, vendors, and HR team members. Why Choose Us?
