Overview:
Join America's Favorite Neighborhood Pet Store for a pawsome HR intern opportunity! We're seeking a Human Resources co-op to gain hands-on experience at our Livonia, MI headquarters. This opportunity will allow you to gain real-world HR experience, network with industry professionals, and help support the team members who make our stores pawsitively amazing!
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will provide a high-level of customer service and support our organization by processing HR master data employee changes such as new hires and data/status changes: The Human Resources Intern responsibilities include: Processing new/rehires daily in UKG Pro, including tax record & tax set up, Time & Attendance system set up, communication to new hire/leader, and onboarding paperwork filing. Ensuring superior service to employees with questions. Employee filing in UKG Document Management. Assisting the manager with I-9 completion/compliance follow up and UKG Pro system overview. Assisting the team as needed with employee changes such as status changes and separations. Supporting our teams through our workforce management system implementation rollout. Assisting with HR special projects such as documentation updates. PAWSOME Human Resources Intern Candidates will have: Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources or related field. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and good academic standing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and follow-up abilities. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Initiative and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Ability to work 32 hours/week in a hybrid work environment.
