Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and excited individual to join our dynamic preschool organization as a Human Resources and Payroll Administrator. With three locations, this role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including payroll, time and attendance tracking, vacation schedules, on-boarding and off-boarding, and performance reviews. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong background in HR management and the ability to enrich teams with care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Create Employment Agreements for each employee that includes salary, benefit packages and vacation schedules for each school year. Support Campus Directors with performance evaluations for all employees. Ensure smooth on/off-boarding processes of team members. Ensure compliance with all federal and state HR regulations. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Train and develop Directors and teams on HR related topics through presentations and meetings (must be comfortable with speaking in front of teams in person and virtually). Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and the administrative team. Provide support and guidance to Campus Directors on HR-related needs. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Create, post and maintain open job ads through outlets such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc. Assist Campus Directors with recruiting, screening and interviewing prospective candidates. Process any workers compensation claims as needed. Process bi-weekly payroll for all locations in partnership with Campus Directors. Manage and support time and attendance tracking through the online time clock system, Homebase.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in HR, business or a related field. 5+ years of HR experience (experience in payroll and benefits administration desired). Strong knowledge of California and Federal HR laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong leadership and organizational skills.PHR/SPHR
is highly desired but not required.Schedule and Benefits:
Hybrid working schedule (M-F, 8AM to 4PM). $100,000 - $120,000 yearly base salary. Company 401K with 5% match. Medical Coverage Contribution. Generous paid vacation package. Ongoing education sponsorship.Remote Work Eligibility:
This position is eligible for remote working opportunities within a flexible hybrid schedule. However, initially while training, candidates are expected to be on site most, if not all, working days.
