McLean, VA Telecommute Options:
Hybrid. 3-4 days / week in office. What You'll Do Own and support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and personnel actions Deliver a seamless new hire onboarding experience from documentation to system setup to Day 1 readiness Process employee changes (promotions, transfers, pay updates, terminations) with speed and accuracy Create, maintain, and audit employee files and records to ensure compliance and organization Manage and maintain data in our HRIS (ADP Workforce Now preferred) Generate and analyze HR reports (Excel skills will get a workout here) Partner across the HR team to support benefits, compliance, and HR operations Respond to employee and manager inquiries with a high level of service, professionalism, and discretion Support key initiatives and projects as we continue to scale and grow What You'll Need 2-3 years of Human Resources experience (HR Administrator, Coordinator, or similar role) Hands-on experience with onboarding, offboarding, and personnel action processing Familiarity with HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now experience preferred) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities High level of confidentiality, judgment, and professionalism Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a government security clearance. What Sets You Apart Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth organization Experience in a government contracting (GovCon) environment Exposure to or experience with the Service Contract Act (SCA) workforce A mindset of continuous improvement What Success Looks Like 30 Days In Get up to speed on our people, systems, and processes (HRIS, onboarding/offboarding workflows) Build relationships with the HR team and key partners across the business Begin supporting onboarding and basic personnel actions with guidance Learn our GovCon environment, including SCA fundamentals and compliance expectations 60 Days In Take ownership of day-to-day HR administration (onboarding, offboarding, HR inbox, personnel actions) Process transactions in HRIS with accuracy and timeliness Maintain organized, compliant employee records and files Start generating and managing standard HR reports Handle employee inquiries independently with confidence 90 Days In Operate as a trusted, reliable partner for HR operations and managers Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and data accuracy Proactively support compliance efforts, including SCA-related requirements Contribute to broader HR initiatives as the organization continues to scale Why You Will Matter This role is the backbone of the HR Team.
