POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Human Resources (HR) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide outstanding support to the HR Data and Onboarding team. This position will support the data team as well as onboarding based on need. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Providing a positive and welcoming onboarding experience to new employees joining the Penn State community. Assisting new employees with the completion of Form I-9 and other related onboarding requirements in accordance with Federal/State laws and University policies. Processing human resources and payroll forms in our Human Capital Management system, Workday. Ensuring timely processing in accordance with payroll deadlines. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. This is a benefits eligible position with an anticipated start date of mid-June. The successful candidate must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, professionalism, the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team; and a high degree of sensitivity in handling confidential information. Proficiency in Office365 suite is preferred. The successful candidate will also possess strong customer service and communication skills, both oral and written; the ability to effectively learn and utilize new technologies; and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $34,800.00 - $50,500.00.
