Remote, with some on-site requirements Wanting to work for a growing organization? Universal Utility Solutions has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Coordinator. This position will provide personal growth and the ability to develop your skills in the telecommunications and utility industries. Our objective for the current opening is to focus on the selection and development of our team members and by committing to excellence in everything we do.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role with 1+ year of payroll processing is preferred. It is beneficial for applicants to have knowledge of the telecommunications sector. All candidates for this position must have at minimum high school diploma with the motivation to learn and overcome daily challenges.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry a plus
  • Basic knowledge in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to management and employees
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be empathetic and flexible
  • Computer/Social Media skills required, experience with writing and posting on multiple job boards
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced culture while remaining focused
  • Ability to multi-task, plan work activities proactively, and complete daily tasks or meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must have a valid Drivers License with clean driving record (NO DUI's or excessive points).
  • All candidates must be able to pass a standard criminal background check and work verification check as well as a standard drug screen and fit for duty physical.

Daily Job Duties to

Include:
  • Maintain various spreadsheets to track applicants, employees, raises, referrals, Company Reimbursements, etc. Process bi-weekly payroll for 35+ hourly employees. Approve and edit job sheets and expenses as needed. Support the processing of invoicing.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Manager
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Conducts new hire orientation
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events
  • Maintain job postings on multiple job boards and utilize social media to advertise hiring events
  • Reviews applications for positions; scheduling and conducting interviews
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with HR and operations teams on the status of hiring
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence
  • Administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, vision, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers
  • Initiates background screening efforts with new employees and reviews background reports once completed for compliance with company policies
  • Updates HR spreadsheets with employee change requests, company benefits and processes paperwork.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assists HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects
  • Schedules conferences by reserving facilities at event centers, hotels and/or restaurants
  • Prepares new employee files, makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions

$57,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
