In this vital role, you will oversee payroll processing, ensure accurate compensation for employees, and maintain seamless HRIS (Human Resources Information System) operations. Your expertise will help us deliver timely and precise payroll services, support benefits administration, and uphold compliance with financial and HR regulations. Responsibilities Manage payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and other payroll management software. Perform data entry and account reconciliation to ensure accurate employee compensation and benefits administration. Process journal entries related to payroll and benefits in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms. Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper debits & credits and adherence to double-entry bookkeeping principles. Support benefits administration tasks including enrollment, changes, and compliance with applicable regulations. Collaborate with HR teams to ensure accurate employee data management within HRIS systems. Assist with governmental reporting, tax filings, and non-profit accounting requirements as needed. Conduct analysis of payroll data for discrepancies or errors; resolve issues promptly to maintain payroll integrity. Maintain meticulous records of payroll transactions, account reconciliations, and audit documentation. Contribute to accounts payable processes related to payroll expenses and vendor payments. Qualifications Proven experience with payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian. Strong knowledge of accounting principles including general ledger accounting, journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation. Familiarity with financial software like QuickBooks or similar tools used in corporate or non-profit settings. Solid understanding of human resources processes including benefits administration and HRIS systems. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred. Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll processing and governmental reporting requirements. Ability to analyze complex data sets using analysis skills; attention to detail is essential. Experience working in environments that utilize double entry bookkeeping, technical accounting practices, or government accounting standards is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining compliance standards.
