Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR systems. This role serves as a front-line contact for employees and leaders while maintaining strict confidentiality and regulatory compliance in a healthcare environment.
ONGOING COMPETENCIES

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
): 1. Maintains personnel files in compliance with and supports audit readiness for Joint Commission HR standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, and state/federal regulations and reviews. 2. Ensure all employee records include required documentation (license, certifications, education, background screens, etc). 3. Monitor and track renewal dates (licenses, certifications, annual competencies, evaluations, etc) to ensure compliance. Collaborate on a regular weekly cadence with employees and leaders to ensure timely updates. 4. Ensure proper retention of required records in accordance with federal law. 5. Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance for all employees and patient-related information. 6. Assist in policy adherence and ensure documentation aligns with organizational standards. 7. Escalate compliance risks or gaps to HR leadership immediately. 8. Responds to employee inquiries within 24 business hours. 9. Update HRIS with employee changes in a timely manner. 10. Monitor and collaborate with employees and leaders on expiring licenses/certifications. 11. Occasional project oversight as assigned by HR leadership. 12. Other duties as assigned
