HR Administrator Job Description This HR Administrator role supports day-to-day human resources operations in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on employee onboarding, payroll support, recruiting for local roles, and general HR administration. The position requires a personable, highly motivated professional who understands employment laws and regulations, is comfortable working with HR systems, and can build positive relationships across all levels of the organization. Responsibilities Support daily HR administration activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion of HR-related tasks. Assist with new hire orientation by preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and helping new employees understand company policies, procedures, and benefits. Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing by gathering and verifying timekeeping data, entering information into payroll systems, and helping resolve payroll-related questions. Support recruiting efforts for local roles by posting positions, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates and hiring teams. Assist with onboarding activities, including preparing new hire documentation, setting up personnel files, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment regulations. Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR function, including maintaining HR records, updating HR systems, and managing HR-related correspondence. Support employee relations activities by helping document issues, maintaining confidential records, and directing employees to appropriate HR resources. Coordinate local community events and activities, representing the organization in a professional and positive manner. Use HR information systems (HRIS) and other HR tools to enter, track, and report employee data accurately. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth HR processes and consistent communication with employees. Respond to employee inquiries related to HR, benefits, payroll, and general administrative matters in a timely and professional manner. Essential Skills Knowledge of employment laws and regulations and the ability to apply them in day-to-day HR activities. Personable and approachable communication style with strong interpersonal skills. Exposure to HR practices, including onboarding, HR administration, and employee support. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and other productivity tools. Experience with HR systems and HRIS platforms. Background in human resources, including HR administration, HR support, and employee relations. Experience in payroll support, including assisting with bi-weekly payroll processing. Experience in recruiting and recruitment support for local roles. Strong administrative and clerical skills, including organization, documentation, and attention to detail. High energy and motivation, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications ADP experience is a plus. Experience providing administrative assistance and general administrative support. Experience supporting benefits-related processes. Comfort working with HR systems and tools to manage employee data. Ability to coordinate and support local community events. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing environment and involves working closely with employees and leaders across the facility. The HR Administrator works in an office setting and will have their own office, providing a professional and focused workspace. The position relies on regular use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, HR systems, and HRIS tools to manage HR data and processes. The work environment requires a high level of energy, responsiveness, and organization to support ongoing HR, payroll, recruiting, and community-related activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dyersburg, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
