In this vital role, you will oversee payroll processing, ensure accurate data entry, and maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Your expertise will help streamline payroll operations, support employee benefits administration, and uphold the integrity of our financial and HR systems. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and possesses a strong foundation in payroll management and accounting software. Responsibilities for Payroll Coordinator Maintain accurate records of payments made to employees Keep track of pay periods, hourly wages, salaries, overtime, sick days and vacation days of employees Liaise with the HR department and accounts department to ensure accurate information for payment Utilize computer software for data entry and accounts management File relevant reports and documents as needed Verify employee records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy Alter tax status of employees where required Qualifications for Payroll Coordinator Administrative technology certificate or an associate's degree is preferred Additional certification issued by the American Payroll Association is desired Proven experience working as a payroll clerk in a fast-paced organization Highly proficient in computer skills and technology Accurate and meticulous in data entry Strong clerical, administrative and general office skills Exceptional calculation and memory skills Good organizational and time-management skills Able to sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Working, practical knowledge of Microsoft Office. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 50 wpm. Candidates will be tested to show level of skill. Previous HR experience not necessary but understand this is a fast-paced office in a lean manufacturing facility, requiring the ability to function with limited supervision. The ability to multi-task is essential, and problem-solving skills are required. This position requires the ability to maintain complete confidentiality. Occasionally weekend work will be required for HR functions.
Pay:
$34,407.00 - $56,464.00 per year
