PRIMARY PURPOSE
Assume responsibilities necessary for the efficient operation the Human Resources Office. Handle confidential
information and maintain frequent contact with all levels district employees, outside agencies, and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONCERTIFICATION
High School diploma or GED
SPECIAL
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS
Proficient computer skills; word processing and file maintenance.
Knowledge school district organization, operations, and administrative policies.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and flexibility in adjusting work schedule to meet load demands; ability to
meet and work with all constituents in a positive and helpful manner.
Maintain highest level confidentiality.
Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE
Three or more years advanced clerical experience demonstrating effective public relations skills.
Prior experience in public school district preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
. Review applicants in the applicant tracking system and execute the employment hiring process for assigned
campusesdepartment. This process includes review application, creating salary placement worksheet,
verifying SBEC status, processing fingerprints, reviewing background information, and conducting onboarding
sessions.
. Process employee transfer requests for assigned campusesdepartments.
. Compose, edit, and distribute correspondence and departmental documentation. Researches and compiles
data as required to prepare reports for assigned campusesdepartments.
. Provides support and works closely with the Human Resources Director and other HR administrative staff in
the areas correspondence, public relations, managing calendars, scheduling meetings and appointments.
. Reviews, verifies, and enters highly qualified status for new and current non-certified paraprofessionals.
. Prepare, disseminate, and file annual notice reasonable assurance letters for assigned at-will employees.
. Process separations, resignations, and terminations for assigned campusesdepartments.
. Remove job postings in TEAMS for assigned campuses and departments.
. Remove separated, resigned, and terminated employees' subscription from the Texas Department Public
Safety (DPS) FACT Clearinghouse for assigned employees.
. Review service records, update salaries, and enter years experience in TEAMS.
. Performs all duties associated with creating fast passes and subscribing to newly hired assigned at-will
employees' records in the Texas Department Public Safety (DPS) Fact Clearinghouse to comply with the
mandated fingerprinting process.
. Schedule, facilitate and lead onboarding sessions.

. Print employee identification badges as needed.
. Assists with department events such as new teacher orientation and district job fairs.
. Establish, audit, and maintain personnel files for assigned employees.
. Recommend paraprofessionals for State Board Education Certification by the Texas Education Agency for
assigned campuses.
. Maintain SBEC certification report and work authorization report to ensure documents are current for
assigned employees.
. Assist department visitors and answer incoming phone calls.
. Assists with interpreting as needed.
. Maintain confidentiality at all times and in all areas.
. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written; accuracy for detail office procedures and
complication data; self management (aware schedules and deadlines; plan own work when possible); ability
to memorize, differentiate, etc.; ability to maintain emotional control under stress; ability to work in an environment
multi-fast paced, and high volume activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasional stooping and bending, prolonged computer usage, repetitive hand motions, occasional lifting of
moderate to heavy objects.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Indoor temperature-controlled office environment
