Human Resources Payroll Coordinator Haltom City, TX Job Details Full-time $28 - $31 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Vendor management Regulatory compliance HR legal compliance Data entry Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Job Summary The HR/Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll, supporting human resources functions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and works closely with management, vendors, and external partners to support daily HR operations in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 75 employees using Paycom, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and state regulations; coordinate with Paycom representatives as needed. Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements including DHS (I-9), IRS (payroll tax reporting), DOL (wage and hour laws), EEOC, and ACA reporting; support audits and maintain accurate employee records. Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollments, changes, and employee communications; serve as a primary point of contact for benefit-related inquiries. Work closely with insurance brokers, carriers, and plan administrators to resolve issues and ensure accurate benefit administration. Perform reconciliation of benefits, staffing agency, and other HR-related invoices; ensure proper allocation, accuracy, and timely resolution of discrepancies. Manage petty cash. Support talent acquisition efforts by coordinating interviews, orientation, onboarding, and offboarding processes; attend job fairs and recruiting events as a company representative. Utilize recruiting platforms such as Handshake, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and staffing agencies to source and attract qualified candidates. Partner with hiring managers to screen and interview candidates, ensuring alignment with job requirements and company culture. Assist with employee relations, policy administration, and general HR support as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information at all times. Essential Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of payroll processes and HR compliance requirements. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments. Requirements 5+ years of experience in payroll and/or human resources. Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred. Familiarity with benefits administration and vendor coordination. Experience in Paycom. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Bilingual (English/Spanish, Laos and/or Vietnamese) is a plus. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
