This role is ideal for someone starting their HR career who is eager to learn and grow in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. The HR Assistant plays a key role in maintaining organized processes, supporting employees, and contributing to a positive workplace environment. Confidentiality is essential in this role. The Junior Human Resources (HR) Assistant handles sensitive employee information and must maintain the highest level of discretion and professionalism at all times. Key Responsibilities Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates Support onboarding processes by preparing new hire materials and ensuring completion of required documentation Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system with accuracy and confidentiality Assist with benefits administration tasks, including answering basic employee inquiries and processing changes Support payroll coordination by tracking timekeeping and ensuring data accuracy Help ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations Respond to routine employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures Provide administrative support for employee relations activities, including documentation Assist with performance management processes, including organizing review materials Coordinate training sessions and assist with employee development initiatives Prepare basic HR reports and assist with data tracking Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or currently pursuing) 0-2 years of HR or administrative experience Basic understanding of HR principles and practices Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Internship or entry-level experience in HR or administrative support Familiarity with HRIS systems Interest in pursuing HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) Key Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills Willingness to learn and take initiative Good interpersonal and teamwork abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Work Environment This position operates in a professional office setting during regular business hours. Occasional flexibility may be required to support HR activities such as onboarding, orientations, new hire trainings, or recruitment events.
