Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic Human Resources team as an HR Clerk, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will help streamline our HR operations and foster a positive workplace environment. In this vital role, you will support various HR functions, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and effective communication across the organization. Your proactive attitude and organizational skills will contribute to the smooth management of employee records, benefits administration, and HR systems, empowering us to attract, develop, and retain top talent. Duties Assist with talent acquisition activities, when needed Support new-hire onboarding and orientation by preparing materials, collecting required documentation, verifying paperwork, and facilitating employee introductions. Maintain accurate personnel and payroll records and complete data entry in HRIS platforms, while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Assist with benefits administration, including employee enrollment, FMLA documentation, and workers' compensation claims. Support compliance with employment laws, OSHA regulations, affirmative action requirements, company policies, and regulatory reporting obligations. Assist with training maintaining certifications, licenses, and training records. Assist with payroll preparation by reviewing employee hours, attendance records, deductions, and other payroll-related information. Prepare and submit check requests accurately and on time. Support payroll and HR audits by gathering records, verifying information, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with corrective actions. Prepare recurring and ad hoc payroll, attendance, headcount, and HR reports. Respond to routine payroll and employee inquiries and refer complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR or payroll representative. Prepare HR correspondence, employment verification letters, notices, and other documents. Assist with VOE File, scan, copy, and organize confidential HR and payroll records. Protect the confidentiality of employee, payroll, benefits, and financial information. Perform other HR, payroll, and administrative duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in human resources department functions with an understanding of human capital management principles. Familiarity with HR systems. Knowledge of employment & labor law, FMLA regulations, OSHA standards, and HR legal compliance requirements. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective employee relations and conflict management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for data analysis and reporting. Strong organizational skills with experience in personnel administration, data entry, and confidential information handling.
