Job Description

We are looking for a Human Resources Administrator to join a non-profit organization in Houston, Texas in a Contract to Permanent opportunity. This position supports students as they prepare to enter the workforce by providing practical career guidance, career development coaching, and employment readiness resources. The role also works closely with employers and internal partners to strengthen employment connections, support advanced training awareness, and maintain accurate outcome documentation in alignment with organizational and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Guide students through key stages of career preparation by offering support with resumes, interviewing practice, job search planning, and career development strategies.
  • Research and share local employment opportunities, maintain relevant job board postings, and help connect students with openings that align with their training and goals.
  • Organize and lead career-focused activities such as workshops, counseling sessions, employer information events, and classroom-style presentations that improve workforce readiness.
  • Coordinate recruitment events including career fairs, employer visits, virtual sessions, and industry expos to expand student access to entry-level opportunities.
  • Present information on advanced training pathways, including student-funded and manufacturer-sponsored elective programs, to help students understand long-term career options.
  • Build productive relationships with students, graduates, employers, and campus stakeholders to encourage engagement and strengthen employment outcomes.
  • Track employment-related records with accuracy and timeliness to support compliance with organizational standards and applicable state requirements.
  • Follow up with graduates and hiring partners to obtain, verify, and document employment information as needed.
  • Contribute to additional administrative and program support activities that advance the goals of the career services function.
