At Something Different Grill, our HR Assistant plays an important role in helping us identify, attract, and hire great people. We are looking for an organized, professional, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys connecting with others and supporting a positive candidate experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, communicates well, and enjoys following established processes. As an HR Coordinator, you will support recruiting and onboarding efforts by reviewing applications, conducting initial candidate screenings, coordinating interviews, maintaining recruiting records, and assisting with HR projects. This position works closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure a consistent hiring process across all locations.
Salary:
$12-$15 hourly Qualifications Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, email, and video conferencing platforms. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow established processes and maintain confidentiality. Comfortable conducting phone, video, and virtual interviews. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, and basic computer applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Professional and positive attitude when interacting with candidates, managers, and team members. Previous recruiting, administrative, customer service, office, or HR experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Review employment applications received through Indeed and other recruiting funnels. Conduct initial phone/video screens and virtual interviews using established interview guides and screening tools. Accurately document candidate responses, interview notes, and hiring recommendations. Maintain recruiting trackers, applicant records, and hiring documentation. Coordinate interviews between candidates, restaurant managers, and leadership team members. Communicate professionally with applicants throughout the hiring process. Assist with onboarding preparation and new hire communication. Ensure recruiting processes are followed consistently across all restaurant locations. Support job posting management and recruiting initiatives as directed. Assist with HR projects, administrative tasks, reporting, and special assignments. Maintain confidentiality of employee and applicant information.
