In-Person Starting Pay:
$19.00 per hour

Monday through Friday | Full-Time Job Description A well-established collection law firm in Lubbock is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department while helping ensure a positive employee experience. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, preparing HR documentation, assisting with onboarding and compliance requirements, coordinating employee communications, maintaining timekeeping records, and assisting with payroll processing. The HR Coordinator plays an important role in keeping day-to-day HR operations organized, accurate, and timely while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Position Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files, both electronic and paper.
  • File, scan, organize, and maintain HR documentation in accordance with company policies and record retention requirements.
  • Assist with the company onboarding and new-hire process, including preparation and collection of required documentation.
  • Monitor HR inboxes and respond to routine employee inquiries or direct questions to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Prepare and process documentation related to employee changes, including status, pay, position, schedule, and other employment updates.
  • Manage the employee badge system for new hires, replacements, and terminated employees.
  • Assist with employee meetings, activities, events, and HR initiatives as directed.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager to complete assigned projects and day-to-day HR responsibilities.
  • Assist with companywide, new-hire, and annual compliance training, including scheduling and tracking employee completion.
  • Review and maintain employee timekeeping records and assist with payroll preparation and processing.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving timekeeping discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, and company information at all times.
  • Perform other duties and HR administrative responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • One to three years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources, payroll, or a professional office environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information.
  • Strong professionalism, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience working with HRIS or payroll systems; ADP experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in a variety of workplace situations.
  • Strong time-management and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
  • Strong attention to accuracy, particularly when working with employee records, timekeeping, and payroll information.
