Job Description

Job Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant/ Recruiter aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at our Sulphur Springs, TX location. The Human Resource Assistant ensures that certain plans are administered per federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including recruitment, attendance, and other needed HR functions. The position is responsible for recruiting, sourcing, screening, organizing the interview process, and assisting the hiring manager in the interview and offer process.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks. Assists with processing of corrective actions, including terminations. Assist with scheduling meetings and interviews as requested by the site leadership. Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions. Files documents into appropriate employee files. Assists or prepares correspondence as requested. Attendance maintenance and tracking. Performs other related duties as assigned. Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks the status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. Conduct interviews, make job offers, create offer letters, get set for onboarding. Conduct Onboarding when needed. Bring new ideas for recruiting, search for new places, and stay on top of job fairs. Update production schedules weekly. Some weekends and evenings are required as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Both English and Spanish preferred. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
At least two years' related experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Sunday through Thursday.
Job Type:

$18.00 - $21.00 per year
