Job Description

Contract Human Resources Assistant - On-Site, in Cedar City, UT. The estimated time from for the contract is 3 to 6 months. Overview Our client is seeking a detail?oriented Contract Human Resources Assistant to support the Human Resources Manager in bringing the HR department into full compliance. This role requires strong familiarity with HR compliance standards, particularly those related to employee personnel files. The HR Assistant will also provide broad support across all HR functions as needed. Key Responsibilities Assist the HR Manager in reviewing, organizing, and updating employee files to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and company requirements Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring proper documentation and retention practices Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including paperwork, system updates, and compliance checklists Assist with benefits administration, employee relations tasks, and policy implementation Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, reporting, scheduling, and communication Help ensure HR processes align with compliance standards and internal procedures Qualifications Experience working in HR, preferably with exposure to compliance and personnel file management Strong understanding of HR documentation requirements and best practices High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Strong organizational and communication skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
