Job Description

HRD employees are builders of capability within the Lord's talent storehouse who hasten the cause of the Master by drawing, enabling, and improving talent and by shaping the Church's work environment, which allows employees to give their best to the Lord. Provides administrative support to implement HR policy and complete transactions. Assistant is an entry level support individual contributor.
Required:
  • 1 year of applicable experience
  • Responsive to issues and needs of customer.
  • Responds to individual inquiries.
  • Accurate, detail oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to meet requested deadlines
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite and applicable computer applications
  • Team player
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in English
  • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience/education in human resources
  • Advanced skills in excel Reports to supervisor or manager level in Human Resources department.
  • Works under direct supervision.
  • Provides recruiting/onboarding support for MTC departments and MTC applicants
  • Ensures compliance of church and legal standards, laws, and policies
  • Responds to email, phone calls and in-person inquiries
  • Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Provides administrative/clerical assistance.
  • Provides administrative support to implement HR policy and complete transactions.
  • Applies basic administrative skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position.
  • May assist in training other HR or MTC employees
  • Begins to learn about the nature of the organization's business, employee population, and organizational culture.
  • Improves upon and gains new talents.
  • Provides information on request.
  • Learns to counsel together with coworkers.
  • Accepts and provides candid feedback.
  • Learns written and verbal communication skills.
