Job Description

AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is hiring for a Part-Time HR Assistant for a client located in Martinsville, VA. This position supports the Human Resources department with administrative tasks, employee relations support, and day-to-day HR functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Schedule & Pay:
Pay:
$15/hr. - $20/hr., depending on experience
Responsibilities:
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee records Support benefits administration, payroll processes, and HR-related inquiries Maintain and update HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy of employee data Manage emails, scheduling, and general administrative tasks Prepare HR and operational reports for management Assist with internal communications and documentation Collaborate with HR, operations, and other departments on projects and initiatives Ensure timely completion of administrative and HR-related tasks Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times Ensure compliance with company policies and federal employment regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience in HR, administrative support, or a related field preferred Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems preferred Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team #INDAI2472
