We're hiring a Sr. HR Manager to Live. Work. Explore. just one mile from the entrance to the iconic south rim of Grand Canyon National Park.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Sr. HR Manager serves as the senior on-site HR leader of our Tusayan properties. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for employee relations, staffing, workforce planning, housing, compliance, engagement, and talent initiatives while ensuring exceptional employee and guest experiences. The position partners with executive and operational leaders to align workforce strategies with business objectives and provides elevated oversight for HR compliance, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.

Schedule:
Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:
Lead all site Human Resources operations and ensure consistent compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices. Partner with General Manager and operational leadership to develop workforce, staffing, succession, and employee engagement strategies. Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution. Oversee recruiting, onboarding, transfers, international visa program support, and workforce planning activities. Supervise HR team members and provide direction, development, performance coaching, and workload prioritization. Monitor HR metrics, turnover trends, staffing forecasts, and engagement feedback; develop action plans to improve results. Oversee housing operations, occupancy planning, conflict resolution, and partnership with maintenance on housing projects. Ensure accuracy of personnel records, HRIS transactions, I‑9 compliance audits, leave administration, and employee status changes. Lead site-based employee engagement, recognition, retention, and culture initiatives. Represent the property in corporate HR projects, audits, compliance reviews, and organizational change initiatives. Tusayan Properties:
Oversee HR support for The Grand Hotel, The Grand Canyon Hotel & Suites, and Tusayan Trading Post operations. Coordinate employee housing programs unique to the Tusayan workforce environment. Partner with local management on seasonal staffing and community employment initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years progressive HR experience with significant employee relations and leadership responsibility. Experience supervising HR staff or leading HR programs. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. Valid Arizona driver's license or ability to obtain and maintain.
Preferred Qualifications:
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
certification. Hospitality, lodging, or multi-site workforce experience. Experience with Dayforce, CloudSuite, and iCIMS. Spanish bilingual capability.
