FULL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a hands-on Bilingual Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions for a growing manufacturing organization. This role will support both production and office employees while ensuring compliance with federal and California employment laws. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and comfortable managing HR as a one-person department. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Leading full-cycle recruiting efforts for manufacturing, warehouse, technical support, engineering, and administrative positions Developing recruiting strategies to attract qualified talent and reduce turnover Managing employee relations, workplace investigations, corrective actions, disciplinary processes, and terminations Supporting strategic HR development in partnership with senior leadership Overseeing payroll administration and ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws Managing leave administration, including
FMLA, CFRA, ADA
interactive process, PDL, Paid Family Leave, military leave, and other state and federal leave programs Administering benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and related employee benefit offerings Managing workers' compensation claims, return-to-work processes, and modified duty programs Supporting workplace safety initiatives, OSHA compliance, safety training, and accident prevention programs Maintaining employee records, HRIS systems, HR reports, and confidential employee information Developing, maintaining, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates Supporting onboarding, new hire orientation, employee engagement, retention initiatives, stay interviews, and exit interviews Monitoring workforce trends and recommending process improvements The selected candidate will also possess: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of progressive HR experience 3+ years of HR leadership or management experience Bilingual English/Spanish fluency, including reading, writing, and speaking Payroll administration experience Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills Experience managing workers' compensation claims and leave administration Strong understanding of California Labor Code, FLSA, EEOC regulations, OSHA requirements, wage and hour laws, and employment eligibility regulations Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial workforces Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, or Paylocity preferred PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
certification preferred OSHA or safety training experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk production floors and warehouse areas as needed Ability to conduct safety inspections and employee meetings Ability to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods
