The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal communication skills, be able to quickly switch tasks at a moment's notice, and be willing to proactively seek improvement. They will be motivated to work and able to take action in face of ambiguity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes. Maintain employee records, attendance, payroll coordination, and HR documentation. Provide results by quick thinking and problem solving to ensure the long-term best interest of company objectives. Participate in the strategic planning, development, and implementation of a set goals and objectives for the company. Build out company departments and identify missing roles and responsibilities. Enhance the organization's HR department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, procedures, programs, and practices. Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent. Ensures compliance with all California and US Federal employment laws, including OSHA. Ensures that all potentially adverse employment actions such as written warnings, involuntary terminations and/or demotions are defendable and well-documented. Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Ensure the planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; listen to and resolve employee grievances; counsel employees and supervisors. Assist in the organization's performance management process by coaching, educating, and providing feedback to employees. Report to CEO and be able to provide guidance on HR regulations Communicate with the company's attorney team to discuss, improve, and update legal documents, programs, and materials to ensure compliance with current federal and state law. Hold quarterly department performance evaluations. Partake in general office duties including but not limited to cleaning, filing, typing, copying, faxing, etc. Manage and oversee HR and Payroll system, ADP Handle insurances & other employee benefits Handle any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Proficient in MS Office - Word and Excel A minimum of three years of human resource management experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity and professionalism. Ability to adapt and work with minimal supervision.
