Purpose and Basic Function:
Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent or designee the Human Resources Manager supports the planning and organization of a comprehensive human resources program. The Manager shall plan, organize, and direct personnel programs and projects in Human Recourses to include the area of personnel staffing, assignments, transfers, employee record management, layoff functions, recruitment, selection, and training. The Manager shall direct, manage, and supervise the Human Resources staff; provide human resources information, consultation, training, and dissemination of documentation and material to concerning personnel management programs and projects; assist in planning and directing activities, negotiating contracts, employer-employee relations and arriving at alternative solutions to program and project problems, issues, and concerns. The Manager shall coordinate, monitor, and review programs and project services to ensure compliance with state and federal legal mandates, regulations, and guidelines, including, but not limited to: workplace, harassments, uniform complaint policies, and adherence to the collective bargaining agreements and Board Policies.Requirements / Qualifications
