We own the full robotics stack from high-performance hardware and robot systems to the infrastructure and state-of-the-art foundation world models that control our robots. Our robots are designed to be generalists capable of operating in complex, real-world environments and handling long-tail edge cases, made possible by our cutting edge research and end-to-end system design. We've raised over $400M and are investing aggressively in model research, infrastructure, hardware development, and manufacturing scale-up to make generalist robotics a reality. We're looking for HR Manager to help build and scale our people operations as we grow. This is a unique opportunity to shape the employee experience at a fast-moving robotics company - hands-on and strategic, with real ownership across the HR function. What You'll Do Employee Lifecycle & Operations Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring every new hire has a smooth, welcoming experience and a fast ramp-up, including leading New Hire Orientation Help coordinate offer letters and employment agreements Maintain HRIS data integrity, manage employee data changes, and identify opportunities to streamline workflows and build scalable people processes Benefits, Rewards & Wellbeing Administer and continuously improve our employee benefits programs Serve as the go-to resource for benefits questions and lead open enrollment Partner with leadership to develop competitive compensation and rewards frameworks that attract and retain top talent Champion employee wellbeing initiatives and help maintain a healthy, safe work environment Learning, Development & Performance Design and support performance review cycles that are meaningful, fair, and actionable Identify learning and development opportunities that help employees grow in their roles and careers Partner with managers to build development plans and support career progression across the team Culture, Engagement & Communication Play an active role in fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture that reflects our values Develop and run employee engagement initiatives, feedback programs, and internal communications Create channels for employee participation and ensure team members feel heard and connected to the company mission Help organize team events, offsites, and culture-building moments as we grow Immigration & Compliance Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and internal policies Coordinate visa sponsorships and work authorization processes (H-1B, O-1, J-1 applications/transfers/renewals, green cards) in partnership with TA for pre-hire assessments and immigration counsel, driving and monitoring all processes from day one through employee tenure, including transitions such as F-1 to H-1B and H-1B through the green card process. Navigate multi-state compliance requirements What We're Looking For 7+ years of HR experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth tech environment A strong generalist background - comfortable going from strategic thinking to rolling up your sleeves on administrative tasks Familiarity with HR platforms such as Rippling Strong knowledge of California employment law and compliance A people-first mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience building and scaling advanced compensation programs in emerging markets Why This Role Build the people foundation at one of the most ambitious robotics companies in the world High ownership from day one - you'll shape HR processes, not just execute them Work closely with leadership and have direct impact on company culture and employee experience
