Job Description

Job Purpose The Branch Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational excellence of the branch office. This role focuses on driving revenue growth through aggressive business development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality staffing solutions and fostering a high-performance culture. The Branch Manager oversees daily operations, manages recruiter and sales performance, and builds lasting partnerships with clients to meet their evolving workforce needs while maintaining full profit and loss accountability. Duties and Responsibilities Hire, train, and mentor staff to keep morale high and ensure a professional, productive work environment. Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and vetting to placement and retention. Review branch performance metrics regularly. Oversee regulatory requirements including meal and rest breaks, Sexual Harassment Training and E-Verify/I-9 processing. Ensure that these requirements are compliant with laws and meet the guidelines of iStaffing's compliance guidelines. Ensure hours for in-house and associates are tracked accurately and staff are paid correctly and on time. Track and manage attendance records, addressing chronic absenteeism while respecting protected leaves. (e.g., California paid Sick Leave, FMLA/CFRA) Work closely with current clients to solve their staffing challenges, acting as the primary point of escalation for client concerns. Partner with the Sales Team to identify new business opportunities, conduct site tours, and ensure the branch has the capacity to meet specific client service level expectations. Conduct investigations into complaints, resolve conflicts, and address workplace injuries and violence alongside the iStaffing Safety and Claims teams. Mediate disputes between clients and associates with a focus on reputation and legal defensibility. Prepare and submit accurate operational reports to Human Resources, Operations Management and Executive Leadership as requested. Qualifications Deep understanding of wage and hour laws, including overtime calculations and PAGA awareness. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to proper grammar. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to pivot priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Resilience and the ability to perform "other duties as assigned" as the branch needs evolve and expand. Must have a "drama-free" approach to leadership. Ability to remain calm, objective, and professional during high-stress situations or interpersonal conflicts. Strong sense of ownership. Must be willing to take responsibility for branch outcomes, both successes and failures and view mistakes as opportunities for improvement. Familiarity with state-specific labor standards and safety regulations. Must be fully bilingual and biliterate. Ability to accurately translate complex labor law concepts, safety protocols, and company policies to a majority Spanish speaking workforce. Must have 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in the staffing industry with full-desk background knowledge. Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a staffing supervisory capacity. Must have reliable means of transportation to ensure consistent attendance and ability to meet the requirements of position duties. Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation for the i-9 process upon hire. The Branch Manager operates in a professional, fast-paced office environment characterized by high volume recruitment activity and constant team collaboration. This role requires significant mobility, including frequent local travel to visit client sites for business development and safety evaluations. While in the field, the manager may be exposed to industrial setting, such as warehouses or manufacturing plants, occasionally requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Due to the nature of the staffing industry, the position requires flexibility to work extended hours as needed to address urgent client requirements, early-morning shift issues, or peak seasonal demands.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
