We're searching for an experienced Human Resources Director to help strengthen and advance a growing people strategy for our Sacramento-based client. This newly created, high-impact leadership role is ideal for an HR professional who excels at executive partnership, developing leaders, and building scalable systems that support organizational growth and an exceptional employee experience. As the HR Director, you'll serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership—guiding workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and people-related risk while overseeing a broad portfolio of HR operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a collaborative, forward-thinking HR leader. Our client offers a great company culture and development opportunities for all levels of employees. $165,000-$185,000 per year (DOE). Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for the HR function, advising executive and senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and people-related risk. Oversee full-cycle recruitment strategies for clinical, leadership, and hard-to-fill roles while supporting residency programs, student rotations, and long-term workforce pipelines. Lead leadership development, training, and succession planning initiatives that strengthen management capability and build internal talent. Direct employee relations, performance management, investigations, and corrective action processes to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant practices. Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards. Oversee compensation strategy, HRIS optimization, credentialing, provider contracts, and workforce analytics to support scalable HR operations. Drive continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and service delivery to enhance organizational efficiency and employee experience. Partner cross-functionally to support culture initiatives, change management efforts, and organizational growth priorities. Skills and Qualifications BS/BA in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field. Preferred Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field 10 years of progressive HR management experience, including 2+ years at the Director level Current HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) Broad HR expertise across employee relations, compensation, staffing, benefits, and HR policy Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws Proficiency with HR technologies and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and DMV printout Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
