Job Description

Purpose The Human Resources Manager will lead and manage all HR functions within the company, driving a positive and productive work environment. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing HR policies, procedures, and programs, with a strong focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and strategic HR planning. This individual will play a critical role in aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals, fostering a culture of employee engagement and development, and providing expert HR guidance and support to senior leadership. They will oversee HR operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives, and lead the HR team in delivering effective and efficient HR services. This role will also be responsible for driving organizational effectiveness and change management initiatives. Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance, support, and development. Drive organizational effectiveness and change management, partnering with senior leadership on HR strategies for organizational growth. HR Operations Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and programs. Prepare and present HR reports and metrics to senior management, analyzing data for strategic decision-making. Develop and manage the annual human capital budget, including headcount planning, compensation forecasts, and strategic workforce investments to ensure alignment with organizational goals Performance Management Lead the development and implementation of performance management processes to drive employee performance and organizational effectiveness. Provide continuous coaching to managers on best-in-class performance management (giving and receiving feedback, goal setting) Oversee performance review process on a regular basis (semi-annually or annually) Talent Acquisition Partner with functional leaders to identify talent gaps and forecast staffing needs. Direct and oversee full-cycle recruitment, ensuring alignment with workforce planning (includes building a strong talent pipeline, effectively assessing candidates and managing interview process) Training & Development Develop and implement comprehensive employee training and development programs. Identify critical certifications required for specific roles and ensure requirements are consistently met. Benefits and Compliance Oversee benefits program development, implementation, and administration, ensuring competitiveness and compliance. Develop, implement, interpret, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and oversee HR audits. Manage all aspects of the Company's workers' compensation program, including claim administration, coordination with insurance carriers and medical providers, return-to-work programs, OSHA reporting support, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Employee Relations and Engagement Provide expert guidance and counsel on complex employee relations issues, including investigations and recommended actions and foster a positive work environment. Serve as a key point of contact for complex employee relations issues. Develop communications from executive leadership team and lead dissemination to all internal employees at all sites Technology / HRIS Management Oversee and optimize the use of HR technologies (HRIS, LMS, etc.) to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and user experience. Required Skills and Qualifications Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Expert proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion. Advanced problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to handle complex and sensitive issues. Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop high-performing teams. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Minimum 5 - 8 years HR experience with at least 4 years in an HR management role. SHRM-CP or
SHRM-SCP
preferred but not required Solid understanding of California employment law. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated experience with at least one HRIS platform. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Must be a U.S. person per EAR Part 772 and
ITAR 120.15
Physical Requirements Performs standard office tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, as well as the ability to move within the company's facilities. Ability to operate computers, phones, printers, and other common office technology. Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the factory floor. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong hearing and vision to effectively communicate, observe workplace conditions, and identify safety hazards amidst potential noise. Capable of occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related events and potentially work evenings as needed. This is a full-time on-site position; you'll be responsible for human resources oversight across multiple sites. Preference will be given to candidates who live near one of our sites.
