accommodations, and other statutory and company-provided leaves Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions Manage performance improvement processes and documentation, partnering with supervisors to address performance concerns Talent Management & Recruiting Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for business professionals (non-attorney roles), including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer management Manage onboarding for both business professionals and attorneys to ensure successful integration into the firm Oversee annual performance review processes for business professionals, including goal-setting, feedback, and compensation review coordination Support professional development initiatives, including training programs, career pathing, and continuing education opportunities Management & Operations Manage and execute day-to-day HR operations and administrative functions while driving process improvements and operational excellence. Supervise HR administrative staff and oversee day-to-day HR operations, including HRIS maintenance, recordkeeping, and reporting Oversee effective workforce planning and staffing alignment to support firm growth and operational needsQualifications Required:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity Prior HR experience within a law firm or other professional services (required) Strong working knowledge of California employment law, including wage and hour, leave administration, and anti-discrimination statutes Demonstrated hands-on experience with benefits administration, leave management, employee relations, and full-cycle recruiting Proactive, solutions-oriented leadership style with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive personnel mattersPreferred:
SHRM-CP orSHRM-SCP
certification strongly preferred Experience managing staff Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $175,000. This range reflects the firm's good faith estimate of potential compensation, which may vary based on experience, qualifications, and skill set.
