Role Overview We are seeking an experienced P&C Manager to support leaders and associates within a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment. This role is responsible for driving people strategies that support business objectives while ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies, and best practices. The P&C Manager will partner closely with operations leadership and cross-functional teams to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. This leader will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting business growth, and helping develop high-performing teams. The ideal candidate brings strong HR Business Partner experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. This individual must be able to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR support while driving accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, engagement, performance management, career development, employee relations, and offboarding. Design and implement robust onboarding and retention strategies such as stay interviews, employee surveys, and engagement initiatives to enhance culture and improve retention. Provide day-to-day coaching to managers on performance management, employee relations, career development, and disciplinary actions. Facilitate compliance-focused training for new and emerging leaders, covering areas such as wage and hour laws, LOA management, investigations, and ADA accommodations. Manage LOA and IP/ADA processes end-to-end in collaboration with internal teams and site leaders. Generate and analyze HR metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, LOAs, promotions, retention) and present key trends and insights to HR leadership and client groups during regular business reviews. Support annual benefits open enrollment and assist employees with benefit-related inquiries in partnership with the Benefits Team. Ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies, while maintaining full compliance with state and federal labor laws. Handle sensitive employee relations matters with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. Partner with leadership to promote a positive work environment and strong organizational culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's or MBA preferred. 7+ years of progressive HR experience; experience in a distribution, retail, or eCommerce environment is a plus. Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR highly preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, LOA/ADA processes, and compliance regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical thinking and ability to use data to drive decisions and improve outcomes. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-impact HR support.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting, computer work, and virtual communication. Occasional walking through office and warehouse spaces to observe operations and engage with employees. Light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) of files or office equipment as needed. Visual and auditory capabilities to review reports, participate in meetings, and engage in effective employee communication.
