As needed Job Summary The Human Resources Supervisor serves as a key support partner to the Human Resources Department and Distribution Center leadership. This role is responsible for overseeing daily HR operations, supporting employees and management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide technical HR support and guidance to Distribution Center management Advise leadership on all areas of human resources, including employee relations, compliance, and best practices Partner closely with the Distribution Center Manager to support staffing needs for both direct hire and temporary employees Coordinate and monitor performance management programs to ensure timely and effective evaluations Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization Collaborate with temporary staffing agencies to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Serve as backup support for payroll and employee benefits administration Investigate and respond to employee complaints, including EEOC charges Implement and enforce company policies and procedures Monitor the Distribution Center environment and escalate concerns to management as needed Prepare and submit unemployment claims in a timely manner and represent the company at hearings when required Support safety programs and assist with Workers Compensation administration in partnership with the insurance carrier Act as a resource for employees regarding benefits and assist with open enrollment Track compliance related to new hires and pay ranges Supervise and support daily activities of HR staff Ensure accuracy and completion of all I-9 documentation Maintain Distribution Center organizational charts Manage personnel records and ensure accurate reporting of employee status changes Stay up to date on federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure compliance Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and recommend improvements Implement and oversee training initiatives;conduct training sessions as needed Lead new hire orientation sessions Provide guidance on employee relations issues and resolve conflicts in a timely manner Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (not required) Minimum of 3 years of hands-on HR generalist and supervisory experience required Experience in recruitment (direct hire and temporary staffing), benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, and workers compensation Prior experience in a warehouse or production environment strongly preferred Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR-related systems Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (read, write, and speak) Computer Skills Strong computer proficiency required Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Additional Skills & Abilities Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Knowledge of Distribution Center operations preferred Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer Ability to climb stairs as needed Work Environment Ability to work in a Distribution Center environment with varying temperatures Full Steam Staffing will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
