Based on Experience Job Description Reeve Trucking Co., Inc. is looking for an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team in Stockton, CA. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling day-to-day HR responsibilities in a busy trucking environment. This position requires someone who can work independently, handle sensitive employee matters, and stay on top of deadlines. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of California employment laws, excellent communication skills, and experience handling employee relations, leave administration, and HR compliance. Job Responsibilities Handle day-to-day Human Resources operations. Manage employee onboarding, new-hire paperwork, and personnel files. Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, written warnings, and terminations. Administer FMLA, CFRA, PDL, reasonable accommodations, and other employee leaves. Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate employee return-to-work procedures. Maintain compliance with California and federal employment laws. Handle employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations. Assist with payroll, timecards, attendance records, and wage-related matters. Manage employee complaints, workplace investigations, and performance concerns. Prepare employment documents, company policies, and employee notices. Monitor employee attendance and enforce company policies. Coordinate recruiting, interviews, background checks, and hiring. Maintain accurate employee records and confidential personnel information. Work closely with management on staffing, employee performance, and HR matters. Assist with unemployment claims and employment verifications. Ensure HR deadlines, documentation, and reporting requirements are met. Qualifications Previous Human Resources experience required. Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance. Experience handling FMLA, CFRA, reasonable accommodations, and workers' compensation. Experience with employee discipline, investigations, and terminations. Knowledge of California wage and hour laws. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with ADP preferred. Previous HR experience in trucking, transportation, construction, or a similar industry preferred.
