Human Resources Manager Gates Auto Group Columbia Ford Kia is seeking an experienced, motivated Human Resources Manager to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee Human Resources for three successful dealerships within the
Gates Auto Group:

  • Columbia, CT Putnam Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Kia
  • Putnam, CT Gates GMC Nissan

  • Columbia location only.
Manage employee onboarding & off-boarding across 3 dealerships. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR matters. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and workers' compensation. Coordinate employee performance management and annual reviews. Assist department managers with employee coaching, development, and conflict resolution. Maintain HR policies, employee records, and personnel files. Foster a positive, engaging, and performance-driven company culture. Support employee recognition and retention programs. Qualifications 5+ years of Human Resources experience preferred. Knowledgeable of CT Paid Leave Act and CT FMLA rules Knowledgeable of Federal FMLA and it's interaction with CT law Knowledgeable of CT Wage and Hour rules, minimum wage and overtime Experience with Office Suite applications like Word & Excel. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
